CAMDEN, NJ-Rutgers University began turning the first dirt on Wednesday on its new nursing and science building here.
The $62.5-million project will involve the construction of a new 100,000-square-foot building adjacent to its Camden campus. The facility when completed in the summer of 2016 will provide educational and research space for the Rutgers Camden campus nursing and science students and faculty, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. The new building is located at Fifth and Federal streets just off of Rutgers' Camden campus.
The project is being funded in part from the proceeds of a $46.8-million higher education state bond issue approved by voters in November 2012. See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
