PERRYMAN, MD-Exelon Generation reports it plans to undertake a $122-million expansion of its electricity generating station here.

The firm plans to add two more natural gas fired units at the facility off Chelsea Road, according to the Baltimore Sun. The two Pratt & Whitney turbines will have the combined capacity to generate 120 megawatts of power.

Rowan Glidden, vice president and director of land planning for George William Stephens Jr. and Associates Inc. of Belcamp, presented the site plan for Perryman No. 6 at a hearing before the Harford County Development Advisory Committee in Bel Air on Wednesday.

Perryman No. 6 will be built on a nearly nine-acre parcel next to the existing Perryman No. 51 facility. See story in the Baltimore Sun.
