WASHINGTON, DC-Georgetown University is looking to upgrade its student housing accommodations. The university intends to build a new residence hall and renovate two others that would produce approximately 385 new student beds.

The plans call for the construction of a 225-bed residential hall on the northeast part of campus, according to the Washington Business Journal. The new student residence would be called the Northeast Triangle Residence Hall.

The university also plans to convert two vacant former Jesuit residential buildings. The conversion could yield another 160 student beds. The overall new student housing initiative could cost between $55 million to $60 million to complete. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
