BALTIMORE-Elm Street Development Inc. has struck a deal with St. John Properties Inc. to acquire land at its Baltimore Crossroads site in White Marsh. The McLean, VA-based Elm Street plans to develop 2,000 homes at massive mixed-use development site, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

Elm Street will be responsible for building a main boulevard, a seven-acre park, a community building and will have to follow rigorous design standards in place for the 1,000-acre project, said Gerard J. Wit, a senior vice president at St. John Properties.

The residential component will complement the 5 million square feet of office and warehouse space and 450,000 square feet of retail planned at the Baltimore Crossroads development. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
