MIAMI—John Fitzsimmons has traded his Cushman & Wakefield accolades for a role at CBRE. The commercial real estate industry veteran has joined CBRE's Occupier Services group in South Florida as first vice president.

The Occupier Services group helps clients with occupancy needs in office, industrial, retail, and specialized properties. Fitzsimons, who most recently served as associate director in CushWake's New York City office, will be based in CBRE's Miami office.

“John brings a great deal of talent and experience working with high-profile companies and will help fortify CBRE's brand-name recognition, and generate new business opportunities with local, regional, and national firms in the South Florida region,” says Mary Jo Eaton, executive managing director for CBRE's Florida operations.

Fitzsimmons has more than a decade of commercial real estate experience with a focus on representation of tenants and landlords and office leasing requirements including site selection, financial analysis, and lease negotiations. He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL and is an active participant in local civic and charitable organizations.
