PHILADELPHIA-With the recent completion of its $60-million Bakers Centre shopping center at the former Tasty Baking site here, the developer, Metro Development, is now looking to begin redeveloping the former Tasty Baking factory.
The 220,000-square-foot Bakers Center shopping center has just 11,000 square feet available for lease, which allows Metro Development, which is based in Ardmore, PA, to prepare for work on the 460,000-square-foot former Tasty Baking factory building, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The factory building will be converted into primarily office space. Two non-profits and a school have leased space at the property totaling approximately 100,000 square feet. Work is expected to begin in 90 days on the project. See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
