LIBERTY STATION, CA-A plan for the development of three hotels totaling 650 rooms at Liberty Station, where a single hotel had been proposed before the recession, is scheduled to be heard by the the California Coastal Commission later this month.
Plans submitted by The Corky McMillin Companies currently call for a 252-room, all-suites hotel; a 215 room, residence-style hotel with kitchenettes; and a 183-room hotel with a mix of standard rooms and suites. A total of 701 parking spaces would serve the hotels.
Located in the 2200 block of Lee Court across a boat channel from the rest of Liberty Station, the adjoining hotels will share a 3,180-square-foot restaurant, a pedestrian/bike path, a sand court area for volleyball and a 150-foot-wide esplanade intended to be a major feature that will link Liberty Station with Spanish Landing.
Construction could begin later next year or early in 2015 with completion about two years later.
