EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ-Commercial real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle is relocating its New Jersey headquarters office from Hasbrouck Heights to Metropolitan Center here.
Jones Lang signed a new 10-year lease for 14,381 square feet of office space with KBS Real Estate Investment Trust II at Metropolitan Center, a Class A, 421,317-square-foot commercial office building located at One Meadowlands Plaza. The brokerage firm is expected to take occupancy of the space later this month.
“We are re-orienting our center of gravity to the Meadowlands to meet the needs of our growing business while maintaining a strong presence throughout the state,” said Robert Kossar, JLL's New Jersey market director. “Metropolitan Center puts us closer to clients and ensures we are strategically located to pursue business opportunities throughout New Jersey and the rest of the New York metropolitan region.”
Jones Lang will continue to operate out of three offices in the Garden State, according to a report in NJBiz.com. The firm will retain its presence in Parsippany and Woodbridge, but will vacate its space in Hasbrouck Heights.
Shawn Straka, senior vice president of the Jones Lang LaSalle's New Jersey office, represented the tenant in the deal. The building owner was represented by CBRE Senior Vice President Gregory Barkan.
In another headquarters move, KABR Real Estate Investment Partners has moved its operations to another building within its Ridgefield Park office campus. The firm relocated this month to 13,000 square feet of space at 100 Challenger Road from a nearby site in the Overpeck Centre complex.
