SANTA CLARA, CA-A group of investors and developers that includes former San Francisco 49er Brent Jones has purchased a 1.22-acre industrial property near the under-construction Levi's Stadium.

The group acquired 2233 Calle Del Mundo, a 50,000-square-foot building built in the 1980s, for $5.2 million, according to a report from the San Francisco Business Times.

The buyers include Jones who is now a managing partner with investment firm Northgate Capital; Peter Geremia, co-founder of apartment developer St. Anton Partners; and Sacramento real estate veterans Brian Vail and John Saca. The partners invested in the venture on their own behalf.

Jones payed tight end for the 49ers from 1987 to 1997, and earned three Super Bowl rings. In 2000, he co-founded Northgate Capital, which has invested in dozens of companies.
