LOS ANGELES-CBRE Group has named Dr. Randy Anderson as the head of Americas research. Anderson will analyze market trends and provide insight into investment decisions and strategies throughout the Americas region. He will serve as part of CBRE's Americas Operations Management Board.
According to CBRE's global head of research, Nick Axford, Ph.D., Anderson has a “proven ability to develop practical strategies and insight from complex market data. This talent is vitally important as strategic analysis increasingly underpins real estate decision-making for both occupiers and investors.” He joins CBRE from Blue Rock Real Estate LLC, where he served as a principal specializing in multifamily real estate investments in the Southeastern US. As a professor, he is credited as expanding the real estate program at the University of Central Florida, which is now ranked one of the top five programs in the country.
Anderson's resume includes turns as the chief economist at CNL Financial Group and at Marcus & Millichap. He was additionally a founding partner at Franklin Square Capital Partners. The accumulation of his expert experience makes him the perfect match to lead CBRE's Americas research team. “Global trends are having an ever greater impact on local markets, and Randy will be a valuable addition to our research leadership team as we develop an integrated global approach to addressing these issues.”
In addition to hiring top-tier professionals to join the team, CBRE has also been redefining the traditional office space. This year the company launched workplace 360 at its downtown global headquarters. The office features open spaces, mobile workspace and a paperless environment.
