SUGAR LAND, TX-A locally-based industrial market intelligence company estimates that there are more than $70.9 billion in industrial projects expected to begin construction this year in the state of Texas.

The report by Industrial Info Resources states that many of these industrial capital and maintenance projects will be built in the city of Houston. A majority of these ventures will involve work on liquefied natural gas production and chemical processing facilities, according to the Houston Business Journal.

Other states that are expected to have significant industrial construction projects in 2014 include the state of Louisiana, which is estimated to have $45.7 billion in projects planned for this year. See story in the Houston Business Journal.
