WASHINGTON, DC-Dorothy Robyn, the head of the Public Buildings Service for the General Services Administration, is stepping down from her post.
Among the highlights of her 16-months at the job included agreeing to a deal with Donald Trump for a luxury hotel at the Old Post Office and leading the search process for a new headquarters for the FBI. Robyn came from the Defense Department in September of 2012 after a scandal over convention-related expenses brought down the previous GSA leadership.
Robyn said her replacement is expected to be Norman Dong, who has been serving as acting controller at the Office of Management and Budget, according to the Washington Post. Her last day on the job will likely be sometime next month.
Saying she enjoyed the job but was “frustrated by the impediments” to the GSA and Department of Defense, Robyn said she would take time off to write about some of the government inefficiencies that were thwarting the country's infrastructure improvements. See story in the Washington Post.
