NEW YORK CITY-Mayor Bill de Blasio made three administrative appointments over the weekend, including the appointment of Shola Olatoye as the new head of the New York City Housing Authority.
Olatoye, 39, a vice president at Enterprise Community Partners Inc., has a background in banking and consulting, according to the Wall Street Journal.
"At Enterprise, Shola has been at the center of some of the most innovative interventions for seniors and homeless families," said Ted Houghton, co-chair of Housing First! and executive director of the Supportive Housing Network of New York.
The mayor also appointed Vicki Been, 57, a law professor and director of New York University's Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy, to lead the city' Housing Preservation and Development Department, and he named Gary Rodney to head the Housing Development Corp.
