NATIONAL HARBOR, MD—MGM has hired DC-based architectural firm SmithGroupJJR as the architect of record for its $925-million National Harbor casino project in Prince George's County.
The company's chief role in the National Harbor development will be managing the production of technical documents for the Prince George's County project, according to the Washington Business Journal.
“The complexity, quality and importance of this venture are a perfect match for our integrated multi-disciplinary practice,” Russell Perry, SmithGroup's principal-in-charge, states. “Our in-house team of 180 architects and engineers is partnering with many other local design firms and builders to deliver the project under a demanding schedule to meet the community's high expectations.”
