NEW CARROLLTON, MD-Officials with Berman Enterprises say that they expect to break ground in a few weeks on the new headquarters building at 7800 Harkins Road here for the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.
The Rockville, MD-based firm began site work last year for the new office building that will total 113,000 square feet, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The development is targeted for completion in June 2015. The agency is then expected to take occupancy of its new headquarters after relocating from space in Crownsville in Anne Arundel County.
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development will be the first state agency to have its headquarters in Prince George's County. Berman and project architect MGMA of Falls Church, VA, say they hope to release design renderings on the project in a few weeks. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
