BALTIMORE-The Locust Point redevelopment project continues to gain traction. The Urban Design & Architecture Review Panel approved the design of the redevelopment of the 10-story 9000 E. Fort Ave. building on Thursday.

The development team for the project led by Bozzuto Development is looking to develop 290 upscale residential units with ground floor retail and two and a half floors of parking, according to the Baltimore Sun. The project is being designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning. A rooftop lounge that would be open to the public is also part of the plan. Solstice Partners is also on the development team for the Locust Point project.

The project still must clear a number of regulatory hurdles. Bozzuto Vice President Jeffrey M. Kayce says he hopes to break ground by the end of the year on the venture with an opening expected two years later. See story in the Baltimore Sun.
