ROSSLYN, VA—TechAmerica, which is reportedly facing fiscal and legal challenges, as well as increased competition in the technology advocacy arena, has relocated its operations out of Washington, DC to the Potomac Tower here.
The technology trade organization has recently moved out of its offices on the sixth floor of 601 Pennsylvania Ave. NW to the top floor of the Potomac Tower at 1001 19th St. N. TechAmerica had maintained offices in Rosslyn prior to its move to the district in 2009, according to the Washington Business Journal.
Stephanie Craig, senior vice president of communications for the group, says, “"Being in Rosslyn puts us in the middle of the folks in Northern Virginia tech corridor and the D.C. tech scene.”
TechAmerica is in litigation with IT Industry Council and some of its former lobbyists who left the organization late last year to lead ITI's newly formed public sector group. In addition, TechAmerica is now facing competition from Arlington, VA-based Professional Services Council, which announced earlier this month a substantial expansion of its policy and advocacy portfolio.
