NEW YORK CITY—The US Drug Enforcement Administration's New York Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Strike Force will reportedly lease 56,000 square feet of space at Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan.

The agency, which is comprised of federal state and city law enforcement organizations, will be leasing the entire 19th floor at 250 Vesey St., one of the five office towers that are part of the Brookfield Place office complex, owned by Brookfield Properties.

A spokeswoman for the DEA says the strike force will relocate from offices at 85 10th Ave. where its lease is expiring. The office is mostly comprised of DEA personnel, according to Crain's New York Business.

Several large users have signed lease deals at Brookfield Place of late. Owner Brookfield Properties has spent approximately $250 million on improving the retail component of the complex. Time Inc. is reportedly considering a large lease for its magazine division at the property. See story in Crain's New York Business.
