BALLSTON, VA—The Shooshan Co. of Arlington, VA, which is building the 4040 Wilson Blvd. office tower here with Radnor, PA-based Brandywine Realty Trust, says it plans to begin construction on the project's 550-space garage.
The garage to be built in advance of the 20-story, 496,900-square-foot office building will be part of the eighth and final phase of Shooshan Co.'s Liberty Center mixed-use development here, according to the Washington Business Journal. The beginning of construction on the garage will allow Shooshan and Brandywine to step up marketing efforts to lease the office building.
"We are thrilled to be moving forward with this project starting with the garage construction,'' says Shooshan President John Shooshan. “Liberty Center is a project that we have been focused on for over 15 years, and 4040 Wilson is the crown jewel of this development. By starting the garage portion of the project at this time, we can advance the project in taking approximately 11 months off the 25-month construction schedule while we continue to respond to the increased tenant interest we have experienced in recent months.”
Jones Lang LaSalle Managing Directors Herb Mansinne and Bob VeShancey and Senior Vice President David Goldstein are marketing the 4040 Wilson Blvd. tower. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
