PHILADELPHIA—The law firm Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano has signed a long-term lease for 52,000 square feet of office space at One Commerce Square in Center City.
The law firm will relocate operations from leased space at United Plaza where it occupies approximately 30,000 square feet, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. The move is scheduled to take place by December of this year.
Pete Soens and Michael Kennedy of SSH Real Estate represented Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano in the transaction. The building owner, Brandywine Realty Trust, was represented in-house by Brian Orr, Dan Galbally, Matt Croce and Steve Rush.
The law firm had been conducting an office search since January of last year and eventually narrowed its options to five buildings including renewing at United Plaza, SSH's Soens says, with One Commerce Plaza eventually winning out.
“The move offers them trophy space, which is so tight, at reasonable rates,” Soens said. “It will get increasingly harder to get reasonable rates in trophy space.” See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
