GARDENA, CA—Heatwurx and its subsidy Dr. Pave, eco-friendly asphalt repair technology companies, have relocated its corporate headquarters from Colorado to Gardena, CA. Along with the transition, the firm has named Alexander Kramer as CFO. The relocation brings the company's executive, sales, manufacturing and operations functions to the new headquarters office.

Relocating brings the company closure to its customer base and positions the it for greater growth. Dr. Pave, for example, has contracts with Long Beach and Redlands as well as several Southern California municipalities. It makes sense; Southern California has some of the country's worst roadways due to the exorbitant amount of driving done by its residents. The Heatwurx and Dr. Pave systems can help to permanently repair these roadways by using the existing pavement and recycled materials.

Kramer is an expert in growing small business in the Southern California market. He brings 15 years of experience in finance and management to the firm, from his career that includes work in the automotive, consumer power equipment, industrial power product and manufacturing. Kramer will manage Dr. Pave's growth and develop a sales strategy to sell the Heatwurx technology. With Kramer, the company is prepared for immediate growth. 

Kramer was formerly a director at Millennium Capital, and has served as VP of finance and accounting at VSI California and led the trade finance group at American Honda Motor Co. Kramer officially starts in this new role next week. During his transition period, the companies former CFO, Allen Dodge, will serve as an advisor.

It is always good news to hear that actively growing companies are choosing to move to the Southern California market, while others are choosing to leave. Last month, GlobeSt.com reported that Toyota, in a major move, would relocate its North American headquarters to Dallas, Texas. The company currently occupies 2 million square feet of office space and 15 building in Torrance, CA.
