NEW YORK CITY—Jedd Nero has joined Avison Young as a principaland executive managing director of New York City retail. Inhis new role, he is leading the growth of the firm's retailservices platform.

Nero has representing both landlords and tenants in retailtransactions for over 25 years. Prior to joining Avison Young, hewas an EVP in the global retail services group at CBRE. Reportedly, Nero has played a key role in shaping the retaillandscape of Fifth Avenue, where he most recently representedWestern Management at 589 Fifth Ave. in signing a milestone dealwith H&M for 57,000 square feet. The transaction created thelargest H&M store in the world to date, providing H&M withsix floors of retail space and creating the brand's US flagshipstore.
