MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA—Four developers are vying for the chance to develop a hotel-office mixed use on a 6.7-acre city-owned site here.
The developers, whittled from a dozen who submitted requests, met with city officials this week to offer development proposals for the Moffett Gateway site, which the city purchased for $9.5 million many years ago. This according to a local media report.
The city council met in closed session afterward to discuss the proposals and will officially select a developer on June 24, said the city's economic development director.
Developers promised to bring in a brand-name hotels, and add public amenities like park space, bike sharing programs and bridges to the Stevens Creek Trail. All four included hotels, some with office space.
