PHILADELPHIA—NP International, based inWayzata, MN, is looking to build three high-rise mixed-use towerson a parcel totaling approximately 8.5 acres at 23rd and Archstreets here.


The plans for “River Walk” call for the construction of a42-story tower and two 21-story buildings that would feature ahotel, apartments, condominiums, retail space and communityamenities at the Logan Square property, according to thePhiladelphia Business Journal.


The developer has been working with the Logan SquareNeighborhood Association on its plan for several monthsand appeared before the Philadelphia PlanningCommission last week.


The NP International project is just one of a host of majorcommercial development projects in the pipeline in Logan Square.Speaking about the River Walk project, Ed Panek,chair of the neighborhood group's zoning committee, says, “Theyhave been responsive to all of the needs and concerns of their nearneighbors. They gave them the opportunity to preserve as many viewsas possible.” He adds that that the NPI development is one of ahost of projects totaling about $2 billion under consideration inLogan Square.
