WASHINGTON, DC—As tenant The Advisory Board Co.explores its space options, Washington Real EstateInvestment Trust is formulating plans to convince thecompany there is no place like home.

WRIT is looking at options of its own to persuade The Advisoryto keep its corporate headquarters at 2445 M St. NW and 1227 25thSt. NW. The Advisory Board leases approximately 300,000 square feetat those buildings. The Advisory Board's leases expire at 2445 MSt. in 2017 and at 1227 25th St. in 2019, according to theWashington Business Journal. The firm has retained JLL to assist itin its office search effort.

WRIT Senior Vice President Tom Regnell says,"We value Advisory Board as an important customer and our goal isto find a way to retain them for the long term," Regnell says. "Weare actively engaged in discussions to find a creative solutionthat will meet their long-term needs that includes the potentialredesign and connectivity of the two buildings."
