“I always wanted to be a part of building and growing awell-rounded employment practice that focuses on providinghigh-quality, highly responsive legal services toa number of the best clients, who can be big or small,” Kim tellsGlobeSt.com. “Allen Matkins, which also seeks to representthese top quality clients in a variety of industries andpractice groups, shares this vision with an hourly rate structurethat is competitive within the California market. My clientswill appreciate the firm's services in other practice areas withattorneys who have the same core values.”

Kim has his JD from the University of California,Berkeley School of Law. In his seasoned career, he hasrepresented high-profile clients across a diverse range ofindustries, including energy and utilities, technology, digitalmedia, entertainment, manufacturing, logistics, hospitality andconstruction. “I have represented small family-owned localbusinesses and large multinational conglomerates. While they arediverse in many ways, these clients, however, share a commonperspective,” says Kim. “They appreciate the value oftop-level services and are not necessarily fixated on getting thelowest possible hourly rate in a crowded labor and employment legalmarket.”

Kim hopes to continue to grow the firm's California labor andemployment practice, especially in Los Angeles with what he says isa “focus on quality over quantity.” “I also want clients toappreciate all of the services that my colleagues, who share commoncore values, have to offer,” he adds. “Finally, I want to be avalue-added labor and employment resource in Los Angeles and inCalifornia for companies who already are Allen Matkinsclients.”
