SAN JOSE, CA—McCarthy Building Companies,Inc.'s Northern Pacific Division has welcomedNicholas Sandersfeld as director of businessdevelopment in Silicon Valley. With 10 years ofconstruction experience in Santa Clara, Sandersfeld joins a growingteam in McCarthy's newly opened San Joseoffice.

McCarthy, California's largest contractor, opened itsfifth California office in San Jose on May15. Sandersfeld will play a key role in pursuing projectsand meeting the evolving needs of clients in the region, with afocus on commercial, high-technology, healthcare, research anddevelopment, industrial, laboratory, corporate office, parkingstructure, educational, and governmental facilities. He will alsospearhead McCarthy's “Heart Hats” community involvement program inthe region, which organizes employee volunteerism and other formsof monetary and in-kind support to a variety of need-based causesin the community.
