WASHINGTON, DC—Developer JBG Companies plans to convert a portion of their Atlantic Plumbing and Hatton residential projects from rental to condominium.
Matthew Blocher, senior vice president of the JBG Companies, says both projects involve two stand-alone buildings in the U Street corridor. In both projects, one of the towers will be converted from a planned rental to condo, according to the Washington Post.
The Hatton at 1921 8th St. NW is the smaller of the two buildings that were both called the Shay. The 91 condos in the six-story Hatton will begin selling later this year in the high $300,000s and are expected to be ready for occupancy in the spring of 2015.
The Atlantic Plumbing development at 2030 8th St. NW will have 65 condos in the six-story building. Prices will range from the high $300,000s to $1.5 million. Sales on those units are expected to begin in the fall of this year. See story in the Washington Post.
