CEDAR HILL, TX—Trademark Property Co. has taken on management and leasing at the MG Herring Group's Uptown Village at Cedar Hill, a 610,000-square-foot mixed-use open-air center here. The Fort Worth-based management company assumed its duties, previously handled in-house, immediately.
“We will work on remerchandising the project as well as enhancing overall property amenities and place making,” says Terry Monresi, Trademark's CEO. “In addition, we are conducting extensive research to help us better understand the customer and trade area as we consider a complete re-brand of the property, and a new marketing and advertising program.”
MG Herring began developing the property, located in a Dallas suburb about 20 minutes south of the city's downtown, in 2006. Uptown Village includes 350,000 square feet of specialty stores and restaurants, and 35,000 square feet of office space. Among its 72 tenants are Aveda, Charming Charlie, Hollister, James Avery, Papaya, The Children's Place and Victoria's Secret, as well as anchor retailers Dillard's, Dick's Sporting Goods and Barnes & Noble.
For Trademark, the addition of Uptown Village expands Trademark's portfolio to 15 retail, lifestyle and mixed-use projects, totaling six million square feet, operated by the company across the Southwest, Southeast, Midwest and West. Locally, its portfolio also includes the Shops at Highland Village in the Dallas suburb of Highland Village, Alliance Town Center in Fort Worth and Watters Creek in Allen, TX.
