PARSIPPANY, NJ—Locally-based Wyndham Worldwide reports that Gail Mandel has been promoted to president and CEO of Wyndham Exchange & Rentals, the company's timeshare exchange and professionally managed vacation rentals division.

Mandel had been serving as both chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Wyndham Exchange and Rentals since March following the transition of previous division president and CEO Geoff Ballotti to the Wyndham Hotel Group, the company states in a press announcement.

“Gail is an incredibly strong executive, with unmatched knowledge and experience in the exchange and rental businesses,” says Stephen P. Holmes, chairman and CEO of Wyndham Worldwide. “In the months since she assumed the additional duties as COO, she has seamlessly and successfully led that team, and in collaboration with its leaders and managing directors has set the business on an exciting course for the future.”

Wyndham Exchange & Rentals encompasses RCI, which provides flexible vacation options to its approximately 3.7 million subscribing members each year to almost 4,500 affiliated resorts in more than100 countries. The division also includes Wyndham Vacation Rentals, which provides access to approximately 103,000 vacation rental properties across Europe and North America.

Mandel began her career at Deloitte & Touche and has held a variety of financial and business leadership roles in the hospitality divisions of HFS Incorporated, Cendant Corporation, and Wyndham Worldwide.
