BELLEVUE, WA—Schnitzer West said this week that it is poised to being work on Centre 425, a 16-story project at 425 106th Ave. N.E., where a Bank of America branch recently closed. When it opens in 2016, Bank of America will open a branch in the new building, according to a recent report in the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Centre 425, is among three projects under construction in Bellevue, and the articlesays it has been six years since the city has seen this much development activity. Trammell Crow Company is at work on a 19-story buidling and Kemper Development has plans for 31 stories. The three projects total just over 1.5 million square feet, the Journal says.

So far only Bank of America has been confirmed tenant for Centre 425, but Seattle-based Schnitzer West said it is in discussions with several other tenants.
