ATLANTA—Brokerage firm JLL reports it has beenawarded exclusive leasing assignments for three propertiestotalling approximately 3.2 million square feet of office space inmetro Atlanta.

The three properties are the six-tower, 2.4 million-square-footPeachtree Center in downtown Atlanta; thefour-building, 558,617-square-foot Satellite Placein Duluth, GA; and the two-building, 266,054-square-footDeerfield Corporate Centre in Alpharetta, GA.

JLL secured the assignments from Banyan StreetCapital, which has had a long-standing ownership interestin Peachtree Center, and, in a partnership with OaktreeCapital Management, recently closed on the acquisitions ofSatellite Place and Deerfield Corporate Centre.

In conjunction with the assignments, JLL reports the addition ofa number of new hires including Michael Werner whojoins JLL from Parkway Realty Services, where he was responsiblefor the leasing of Peachtree Center, as well as other high-profileAtlanta office properties. Werner is a vice president in JLL'sAgency Leasing group.

Senior vice president Kay Younglove, Werner andnew hire David Horne, who has joined JLL as aleasing associate, will oversee the leasing of Peachtree Center,for which Banyan Street Capital recently secured approximately $35million in financing to use for capital improvements and leasingcosts at the property, JLL states. Younglove also has experienceleasing Peachtree Center, having leased the property in the late1980s for architect and developer John Portman. Horne joins JLLfrom Parkway Realty Services.

Senior vice president Glenn Aspinwall, along-time Gwinnett County resident, and Werner will lease SatellitePlace, while Younglove and Horne will handle the leasing ofDeerfield Corporate Centre.

Werner has 15 years of experience in commercial real estate.Over the last seven years, he has completed more than 450 leases onbehalf of landlords, for a total of more than 3.6 million squarefeet. Prior to his stint at Parkway, Werner worked at CBRE, wherehe was responsible for leasing and marketing office properties onbehalf of third-party clients.

While at Parkway, Horne was responsible for the leasing of aportfolio of Class A Atlanta office assets that totalled more than3 million square feet.
