SAN ANTONIO–Skanska USA has announced that Steve Lyons has joined the company as director of business development for its Central and South Texas operations.
"The addition of Steve to our team further strengthens Skanska's foothold in Texas," Brian Freeman, executive vice president and general manager, told GlobeSt.com. "His background in complex projects brings a fresh perspective to our current and future clients."
Lyons has worked in the industry for the past eight years. Lyons joins Skanska from SimplexGrinnell where he was responsible for sales and business development for its healthcare sector, working with clients such as Baptist Health System, Methodist Hospital and Universal Hospital Services (UHS).
In his new role, he will work closely with Skanska's operations teams to support the needs of current and potential clients in the Central and South Texas markets. He is based in San Antonio.
Lyons is involved in many industry organizations including the Society for Marketing Professional Services and the Society of American Military Engineers.
He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
