MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ— Nichole F. LoPresti, a veteran government affairs practitioner, has joined The New Jersey Apartment Association as senior vice-president of government affairs and special events.

“I am both honored and excited to join the NJAA,” says LoPresti. “I look forward to contributing to the advancement of the state's multi-family housing industry and ensuring that the interests of our membership – and all New Jersey residents who call apartment living 'home' – are well represented.”

In her new role, LoPresti will oversee the NJAA's government affairs and special events departments. Working alongside David Brogan, NJAA's executive director and executive vice-president of government affairs and business development, she will seek to elevate the NJAA's government affairs activities on the state and local levels, enhance the special events department and assist Brogan in the implementation of the Association's strategic vision.

Nichole is a well-respected leader in her field, and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role,” said Brogan. “We are confident that her deep experience, impeccable achievements and solid government relationships will help boost our advocacy efforts at the local, regional and state levels. We are fortunate to add Nichole to the NJAA's accomplished leadership team.”

Before joining NJAA, LoPresti was vice-president of Tonio Burgos & Associates of New Jersey, a leading strategic planning and lobbying firm. She also spent several years as a lobbyist for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, where she worked collaboratively with legislators, regulators, civic groups, and peer organizations to improve the health care experience for New Jersey's residents. She has worked closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations, and has done extensive work on crisis management, as well as complex insurance issues.

LoPresti earned a bachelor's degree from Mount St. Mary's University and a master's degree from Villanova University. She is a member of the board of trustees of NEWJOBS, the Garden State's oldest and largest business political action committee. She also holds membership in the American Association of University Women, Democrats 2000, League of Women Voters, National Women's Political Caucus and the Women's Political Caucus of New Jersey.

NJAA represents owners, managers and developers of nearly 190,000 rental homes in New Jersey as well as hundreds of suppliers to the multi-family housing industry. The association is dedicated to providing safe, clean and affordable rental housing to more than a million residents throughout the state.
