PHILADELPHIA, PAMarcus & Millichap has named a former NFL football player, Chad Levitt, a director in the Philadelphia office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation.

Levitt is responsible for securing commercial debt and equity financing for an array of property types including multifamily, office and industrial, retail, senior housing and hospitality.

He has extensive contacts with national, regional and local funding sources including agency lenders like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public funds and hard money lenders.

Levitt has more than 12 years of commercial real estate finance experience and has closed more than $250 million in transactions.  Before joining MMCC, Levitt was a director with The Llenrock Group, where he worked directly with property owners and developers to secure competitive financing terms on various properties and developments.  He was also a commercial loan officer at The Bancorp Bank and a mezzanine lender with RAIT Financial Trust

Before starting his finance career, Levitt played four seasons in the NFL.  A fourth round draft pick in 1997, he appeared on rosters with the Oakland Raiders, St. Louis Rams, and Chicago Bears. In college, Levitt was a team captain, All American, and Ivy League player of the year while at Cornell University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics and Business Management. He holds a Real Estate Salesperson license in Pennsylvania.
