BURLINGTON, NJ—This South Jersey city will become the new baking home for Junior's Famous Cheesecakes. The Brooklyn-based family-owned company has acquired a baking facility here to replace its existing baking facility in Maspeth, NY. The move was reported in Crain's New York Business.
Crain's quoted the company's third generation owner, Alan Rosen as saying real estate was too expensive to remain in Queens. The Burlington facility is five times the size of the existing space, and more freezer and refrigerator space. The company claims to sell a million cheesecakes a year. It also has restaurants in Brooklyn, Times Square, Grand Central Terminal, and at the Foxwoods Casino Resort in Connecticut.
GlobeSt.com contacted Rosen via email, but he had not responded by deadline.
