PHOENIX—Newmark Grubb Knight Frank announcesthe closing by IRIS USA, Inc., a subsidiary ofIRIS Ohyama Inc., on the purchase of a 59-acresite at Skyway Business Park. The consumer products manufacturer,based in Sendai, Japan, is developing a 420,000-square-foot office,manufacturing, and distribution facility near the southwest cornerof Dysart and Cactus roads. The site was purchased from SKDHoldings, LLC. IRIS USA will use the facility tomanufacture and distribute its consumer plastics storage productsand conduct research and development.

NGKF's Rob Stephens, SheilaBale and Ryan O'Connor of Arizona, withthe cooperation of David Scherer of Las Vegasrepresented SKD Holdings, LLC in the transaction.

"IRIS USA selected Surprise for its western regionalheadquarters due to the site's excellent location andinfrastructure, as well as the myriad of community amenities ourcity offers," says Surprise mayor Sharon Wolcott. "IRIS will beinvesting tens of millions of dollars and creating approximately150 jobs in our city that will significantly add to our overalleconomic base.
