FRISCO—The state's first Langham Hotels & Resorts hotel will be located at Wade Park, the 175-acre, $1.6-billion upscale mixed-use development under way in Frisco.
Thomas Land & Development, the owner and developer of Wade Park, announced the new hotel will open in 2018 and will be located along the Dallas North Tollway at Lebanon Road.
“The vision for Wade Park is quickly becoming reality with the Langham Hotels & Resorts hotel joining our impressive lineup of slated retail, restaurant and hotel tenants,” Stan Thomas, president and CEO of Thomas Land & Development, told GlobeSt.com. “We're excited to partner with Langham Hospitality Group to introduce this prestigious hotel brand to North Texas. The luxury hotel will be a centerpiece for the urban destination center that we are creating for both locals and visitors.”
The project's progressive high-rise architectural design, by 5G Studio Collaborative in Dallas, will be sleek and modern with a total of up to 35 floors, including up to 25 hotel floors and 10 floors of planned residential. Plans for the Langham Hotels & Resorts luxury hotel at Wade Park also feature:
- 250 guest rooms, including several one- and two-bedroom suites and two 2,906 square-foot presidential suites
- More than 25,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, including boutique meeting rooms to accommodate surrounding businesses like those in the two surrounding office towers
- A rooftop pool deck, full-service bar and courtyard events lawn for music and special events, with adjoining walkway bridge to the office tower and iPic Theaters
- A full-service Chuan Spa featuring Chuan Body + Soul signature holistic treatments
“This project in Texas will play a key role in our group's expansion in the United States," says Robert Warman, chief executive officer of Langham Hospitality Group. “We are delighted that we may introduce our Langham service values to this thriving destination and provide a new, exciting luxury hotel experience for our loyal guests.”
“We're honored Langham Hospitality Group chose Frisco to bring its first hotel in Texas,” says Frisco's mayor Maher Maso. “Tourism and convention business help us meet our long term goal of becoming a sustainable city, which is important as one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. This upscale development will provide a high-end hotel experience for our visitors and guests, not to mention luxurious living and job opportunities for our residents. We look forward to working with Langham and its team.”
This new location will be the Hong Kong-based brand's first hotel in the southern/southwest region of the U.S.
