PARSIPPANY, NJ—Cesare Berardi, whose four decades of industry experience includes overseeing development of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey's headquarters and police department at the World Trade Center, and renovation of Verizon's 1.4 million-square-foot facility in Basking Ridge, NJ, is becoming director of project management in Colliers International's New Jersey operations.

Cesare's extensive knowledge and depth of experience will be a significant resource for our team,” said David A. Simon, SIOR, executive managing director and head of Colliers International's New Jersey operations. “Expanding our project management practice will enable us to offer enhanced real estate solutions to our clients and customers.”

The highly respected and accomplished industry veteran—whose experience ranges from real estate planning, design, and construction to the strategic capital planning of projects in both the public and private sector––will focus on enhancing Colliers' project management practice in New Jersey, while also working closely with the project management team in New York.

In his new role with Colliers, Berardi will oversee project management assignments; provide counsel to the firm's brokers, their clients, and potential new clients on design, engineering, and construction; and advise on the benefits and capabilities of applicable state incentives.

Previously, Berardi was vice president of project management for Foit-Albert Associates, where he oversaw the Port Authority projects. Before working with Verizon, Berardi was vice president of Global Real Estate for JP Morgan Chase, where he managed capital projects with a $100 to $200 million annual budget.

Cesare is a seasoned leader in the industry who will bring tremendous value to the growth of our project management practice across the Northeast region,” said Jonathan Winikur, executive managing director and head of Colliers International's project management practice in the Northeast. “We are excited to welcome him to Colliers and his addition further demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality, comprehensive service to our clients.”

Correction, 9/3/2015: An earlier version of this story described Berardi's work at the Port Authority as involving 4 World Trade Center. The projects were actually dispersed among several buildings within the World Trade Center. The earlier version also mischaracterized his work with Verizon, which was a project assignment, not a staff position.
