Donald Carey

NEW YORK CITY—Kensington Vanguard National Land Services has hired Donald Carey, a title insurance industry veteran—and son of former New York Governor Hugh Carey—as a senior EVP, GlobeSt.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY.

He will be part of the business development division, where he will service and manage the firm's business relationships.

“Don brings his vast experience and leadership skills to KV and is a perfect complement to our thriving business development team,” says Jarett Fein, co-chief executive of KV. “He has had—and continues to have—an extremely impressive career in the title insurance industry, having exponentially grown his business for more than a decade with both Fidelity National Title and First American Title, two of the nation's largest title insurance underwriters.”

Carey also worked for over 15 years at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse First Boston. He managed new issue bond sales for some of the nation's largest issuers in public finance. New York City, New York State Housing Finance Authority, the State of California, Dallas Fort Worth Airport, Puerto Rico and Federal Express were just a few of Carey's clients. During his public finance tenure, Carey was credited with designing transactions that made it easier for issuers and investors to align their goals.

“I made the move to KV at this point in my career because I was looking for an exciting, energetic and positive environment with a strong collaborative culture where sales and operations work in hand-in-hand to provide the best possible customer experience,” Carey says.
