NEW YORK CITY—Fordham University has introduced a new program for real estate professionals: entitled the Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center, at its Lincoln Center campus. Beginning in spring 2017, enrollees will have access to first-class professional certificate programs in the city some call the world's real estate capital.
Students can pursue a six-course certificate, or take select courses, in four areas: Finance and Investment, Financial Modeling, Development, and Construction Project Management. Areas of study range from valuation and private equity to investment analysis and project management.
Developed for current professionals, up-and-coming professionals, and investors/owners in the real estate industry, the Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center, the program's adjunct faculty are industry veterans from companies such as Lockheed Martin Corp., MetLife, JLL, CBRE and others.
Flexibility is a core tenet of the program: classes can be taken either in-person on campus or online from anywhere worldwide. In addition, students have the option to take an intensive, one-week certificate track at Lincoln Center.
“The Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center is about imparting industry knowledge, teaching real-world skills, and accelerating careers,” says Anthony R. Davidson, PhD, MBA, dean of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies. “Students have the opportunity to be part of something new and unrivaled. No other universities are offering certificate programs that match Fordham's quality and flexibility.”
Adds Robert Morgenstern, director of non-degree real estate programs at the School of Professional and Continuing Studies, “The Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center offers a variety of professional certificate programs designed by accomplished industry practitioners who draw their expertise from the real estate and construction industries in New York City—one of the world's most dynamic and sophisticated real estate markets.”
He continues, “Our certificate courses offered at Lincoln Center and online provide valuable technical and analytical skills to enable industry professionals to gain an in-depth understanding of the profession, and to stay on top of the latest developments.”
Registration is open now for spring 2017. The program is also planning a summer term with additional intensive courses, and is exploring expanding its in-person classes to Fordham's Bronx and Westchester campuses. For a full list and description of courses, and to register, click here.
