Blackstone deserves a round of applause for thoughtfullyplanning and executing on a succession plan for Schwarzman. Thetransition from one CEO to another is critical to the company'shistory. A well-orchestrated transition is essential to maintainthe confidence of investors, business partners, customer andemployees.
