Helmsley Spear Moves Operations to 599 Lexington Ave.
The firm’s new offices encompass the entire 44th floor totaling 8,200 square feet at the 1,062,601-square-foot building owned by Boston Properties.
NEW YORK CITY—Storied commercial real estate firm Helmsley Spear has relocated its headquarters to the 50-story 599 Lexington Ave. tower.
The firm’s new offices encompass the entire 44th floor totaling 8,200 square feet at the 1,062,601-square-foot building owned by Boston Properties.
Helmsley Spear signed a sublease deal with Cornerstone Research for its new headquarters space at the glass tower building located at the southeast corner of East 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue that was completed in 1986. No specific terms of the sublease transaction were disclosed.
“I am thrilled to move our growing company to this magnificent Midtown office. As our firm expands in the coming months and years, this new home will afford us the opportunity to serve our client base in a convenient central Manhattan location,” says Kent M. Swig, president of Helmsley Spear.
Helmsley Spear was represented in house by Scott M. Bloom, executive vice president/principal while Cornerstone Research was represented by Jared Scott London of CBRE.

In addition to Cornerstone Research, other tenants at 599 Lexington Ave. include: law firms Shearman & Sterling, Reed Smith and the Cowen Group, along with the Huron Consulting Group.
