NEWPORT BEACH, CA-The nationwide acquirer and originator of nonconforming Alt-A mortgage loans ends the public offering, which was for 7.5 million shares and common stock, with a selling stockholder selling 200,000 shares.

SANTA ANA, CA-The closure will result in the loss of 70 jobs locally. LNP Engineering Plastics opened the plant in 1967. The Santa Ana Plant is one of LNP's four North American compounding facilities and one of nine globally.

IRVINE, CA-Snyder Langston has recently started construction on the project, which will consist of two educational facilities totaling 62,000 sf and a 120,000-sf Jewish Community Building. The first phase of the development is slated for completion in August 2002.

LAKE FOREST, CA-A property casualty firm acquires the building, which it plans to occupy. Built in 2000, the low-rise facility encompasses 9,126 sf.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA-CB's Anaheim-based Focus Retail Group will represent Simmons Mattress Gallery as the retailer scouts for new locations in Orange County. Simmons is looking for sites ranging from 3,500 sf to 4,500 sf.

LAKE FOREST, CA-An electronic component distributor acquires the 37,520-sf Lake Forest facility and plans to open a new branch here. Encompassing 37,520 sf, the building stands at 20662 Prism Place in the Dimension Business Park.

IRVINE, CA-The fund, which has $60 million in discretionary capital, specializes in mezzanine financing for multifamily properties statewide. It is part of the CalPERS California Urban Real Estate Initiatives Investment Program.
