EDISON, NJ—Mack-Cali Realty Corporation's CEO Mitchell Rudin says it will refocus the company over the next three years, with a greater concentration of investment in multifamily and mixed-use properties serving the urban waterfront and transit-oriented markets. President Michael DeMarco says the firm will also reduce its investment in office properties to a select portfolio of class A assets.
PHILADELPHIA, PA—The Design Center, Philadelphia's premier resource for the interior design trade, will lease 48,000 square feet at 34 South 11th Street, a class A, modern office warehouse building within the 4.3-acre East Market development.
PHILADELPHIA—Equus Capital Partners has acquired Hill House Apartments, a 188 unit high-rise multi-family community in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, for $42 million. Equus says it will invest $5 million in upgrades to the property.
AVENEL, NJ—If you're smelling garlic and Mediterranean aromas around Avenel, NJ, it's probably Fine Italian Foods Inc., which has leased 17,360 square feet at 42 Mileed Way, a 32,000-square-foot industrial property.
OLD BRIDGE, NJ—Putting into place a management succession plan, R.J. Brunelli & Co., says its founder Richard Brunelli will become chairman of its board, while naming veteran firm executive Ron DeLuca as CEO, and company founder Brunelli's daughter, Danielle Brunelli-Albrecht as president. Bill Lenaz was named to the new position of executive vice president of business development.
JERSEY CITY, NJ—Standard Logistics relocated its headquarters, taking a long-term, 19,400-square-foot headquarters lease at 530 Duncan Ave. in Jersey City. A division of Evans Delivery Company, the third-party logistics firm relocated locally to the warehouse/distribution property in an expansion move.
BAYONNE, NJ—Penwood Real Estate Investment Management has acquired a 35-acre site in Bayonne, NJ, which includes a 167,000 square foot industrial building Penwood will renovate, and space for additional development of approximately 175,000 square feet.
PHILADELPHIA—An array of public and private partners, including Billy Procida's 100 Mile Fund, says it has finalized about $44 million in financing for the transformation of the city's historic Divine Lorraine Hotel into a mixed use multi-family and commercial building.
