ATLANTA-In December, the city's zoning review board will consider the White Plains, NY-based developer's request to change the Buckhead site's 1985 zoning plan which calls for a hotel and offices totaling one million sf. The 176-room Lenox Inn is being demolished to make room for the new venture.
ORLANDO-Locally based Smith Equities Corp. brokered the transaction in which Highland Pointe Apartments LLC paid Highland Pointe Ltd. $43,394 per unit for the 272-unit, 18-year-old property at 7721 Silverpointe Blvd. in southeast Orlando.

ORLANDO-Locally based Commercial Net Lease Realty Inc. plans to pay shareholders a quarterly dividend of 32 cents per share Nov. 15. The dividend represents an annualized rate of $1.28 per share to holders of record on Oct. 31.
SARASOTA, FL-The Cheshire, CT-based manufacturer of fire alarm and security systems plans to occupy the 110,000-sf building at the 5,500-acre Lakewood Ranch mixed-use development in November 2004. About 170 employees will initially staff the facility.

But Barry Real Estate Cos. is trying to interest the blue ribbon-tenant into taking about 170,000 sf of office space at its planned 10-story Centennial Hill building overlooking Centennial Olympic Park.
