ATLANTA-Anticipating an industrial real estate comeback by year end, the Huntsville, AL-based developer is clearing a 16-acre site at the 1,500-acre Gwinnett Progress Center where a rear-load, 225,000-sf warehouse structure is scheduled for completion by spring 2003.
ORLANDO-Flagler Development Co. wouldn't disclose terms of the deal but area brokers familiar with the north Florida office market tell GlobeSt.com the estimated 10-year deal is valued at about $15 million, based on an average $22-per-sf rent in that submarket.
ATLANTA-The buyer paid Atlanta-based Barry Real Estate Cos. Inc. $67.5 million or $179.52 per sf, the highest per-sf office building price this year. Barry developed the two-building, two-year-old, six-story, 376,000-sf complex at Windward and Westside Parkways for an estimated $56.4 million or $150 per sf, according to GlobeSt.com research.
ORLANDO-Ebeneezer Holdings Corp. of Toronto paid Tampa, FL-based Hunters Ridge Associates Ltd. $46,849 per unit or $56.80 per sf for the 238-unit, 95%-leased Hunter's Ridge Apartments at 3733 Goldenrod Rd.
MIAMI-New York-based McCann Inc. walked off the $100 million projects at the Coconut Grove Ritz and the South Beach Ritz. SunAmerica Inc., the Grove Ritz lender/owner, is handling development alone on one hotel. The Beach Ritz hopes to have a new contractor on the second hotel by April 28.
ORLANDO-By June 1, elected officials are scheduled to close on Jetta Point, a prime 43-acre tract at State Road 434 and the Central Florida GreeneWay, for $4.3 million or $2.30 per sf, a steep price for local governments which generally pay under $1 per sf, area brokers tell GlobeSt.com.

ORLANDO-In a shakeout that began almost immediately after 9-11, the 20-year-old, 84-room Thriftlodge was sold at auction by Ballardin Enterprises Inc. for $16,667 per room, or about $23,000 less than the current estimated replacement cost.
