ATLANTA-The deal with locally based Accent Management Group LLC comprises $1.77 million in new American Mortgage Services Inc. preferred stock and a $2.26 million debt owed to Lahaina. Lahaina will retain 9.9% ownership of AMSI after the sale.
MIAMI-Developer Richard Lamondin's Cornerstone Premier Communities plans to break ground before year end on the $65 million, 42-story, 332-unit oceanfront property at 163rd Street and Collins Avenue in suburban Sunny Isles Beach, FL, eight miles north of Downtown Miami. Unit prices start in the $300s.
ORLANDO-The locally based timeshare developer will be leaving Orlando, the timeshare capital of the country, with a pared-down portfolio of 75 properties, down from 89. The company, still in Chapter 11, plans to relocate by year end.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL-The Broward County Circuit Court complaint alleges Premier Estate Properties Inc., marketed a 2.6-acre tract as four acres in a $10.5 million oceanfront estate sale. Premier tells GlobeSt.com the allegations are meritless.
ORLANDO-Supply is outpacing demand with 10,382 new units surfacing at year end 2001 and only 5,850 units rented, according to a new analysis by M/PF Research Inc. of Carrollton, TX. There are 6,974 new units still under construction. The area has about 139,368 apartments.
ORLANDO-Gavin Ford, who has opened 17 casual dining locations since 1998, will be bringing a total 48,000 sf of casual dining space on line this year in Central Florida. He tells GlobeSt.com the bakery-cafe concept is strong in the area and throughout the state, even during a recession.
ORLANDO-Cheri Smith joins the five-month-old Orlando office from Xceligent Corp. where she was vice president/research. During her 14-year stint at CBRE, Smith was real estate data consultant and regional director of information for the East coast.
