ORLANDO-By all accounts, this should be a no-brainer but instead of condemning and razing the often rat-infested Parramore Village, Council members are offering to buy the 69 units from private owners at an estimated aggregate market value of $1.38 million.
ORLANDO-Records show the three retailers purchased tracts at the planned 1.3-million sf Mall of Millenia in southwest Orlando. But industry sources say the mall's developer bought 83 acres from the master developer for about $19 million then deeded back two 13-acre parcels and an estimated nine-acre parcel to the retailers.
ORLANDO-The official Orange County real estate records show the three retailers purchased individual tracts at the planned 1.3-million sf Mall of Millenia in southwest Orlando. But in reality, Forbes Taubman Orlando LLC Millenia, the mall's developer, bought 83 acres from the mixed-use venture's master developer, Orlando Southwest Partners, for about $19 million or $228,915 per acre ($5.26 per sf), then deeded back two 13-acre parcels and an estimated nine-acre parcel to the retailers.
ORLANDO-The $76.18 per-sf price on the 2.29-acre prime parcel came in below the $100 per-sf level estimated by area professionals but equaled recent land prices in the central business district. GlobeSt.com reported the transaction Dec. 4 before the deal was recorded at Orange County real estate offices.
ORLANDO-The Orlando division of the Fort Lauderdale, FL-based general contracting company will design and erect the medical and mental health facility portion of the planned $120-million, 1,600-bed expansion at the John Young Parkway and Interstate 4 complex.
ORLANDO-At issue is a $5-million delinquent property tax bill that two courts say the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority must pay for its 446-room Hyatt Regency Hotel at Orlando International Airport. The agency argues the hotel serves a public purpose and is tax exempt.
LEESBURG, FL-The 25-acre, 13-tract Leesburg Municipal Industrial Park, 45 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando, is selling more dirt this year than it has in its entire 15-year existence. Reason: Price, at $25,000 per acre or 57 cents per sf.
CLERMONT, FL-Orlando-based Solo Development Corp. is asking the city for an exception to its Big-Box Ordinance that prohibits the construction of new single stores over 100,000 sf.
