ORLANDO-The utility company is taking the entire 108,500-sf Northpoint III office building in suburban Lake Mary, FL, increasing its pre-leased space from 85,000 sf. The estimated value of the 10-year lease is $21.7 million.
ORLANDO-In the second quarter ended July 1, the locally based themed-restaurant chain lost $14.24 million or a $1.43 per share loss versus a net income loss of $38.89 million or a loss of 72 cents in second quarter 2000.
ATLANTA-The Buckhead-based developer is asking the Atlanta Zoning Review Board to OK new plans for the construction of 326 lower-priced apartments after finding a sluggish market for homes in the $310,000 range.
ATLANTA-The Maryland shopping center developer is asking the Georgia Mountains Regional Development Center for permission to build at least 2.3 million sf of retail; an undetermined amount of office product; a hotel with at least 200 rooms; and luxury condominiums and apartments on a 177-acre tract. ATLANTA-The locally based investment group paid $13.3 million or $21,875 per acre for 608 acres in the 1,500-acre, 16-year-old Gwinnett Progress Center, the largest business park in Gwinnett County. Now it plans to sell off individual parcels at a profit.
ORLANDO-The world's largest casual seafood restaurant company posted fiscal 2001 net earnings of $197 million or $1.59 per diluted share on sales of $4.02 billion versus $173 million or $1.30 per diluted share on revenue of $3.7 billion in fiscal 2000. Net earnings were up 13.8%.
ATLANTA-The chemical-products firm with 10,000 global employees and 30 manufacturing sites is leasing 18,000 sf for five years at an estimated $22 per sf at a four-story, 93,849-sf, class A building in Town Point business park in Kennesaw, GA.
ATLANTA-The 172,000-sf complex will be built at an estimated hard construction cost of $25 million adjacent to the Southeastern facility for the National Archives and Records Administration also planned near Clayton State University in Clayton County, just south of Downtown.
ORLANDO-The Association for Local Telecommunications Systems tells GlobeSt.com it will continue to battle building owners in some states where agreements haven't been worked out. BOMA International tells GlobeSt.com it will meet ALTS head on.
ORLANDO-A July 27 Massachusetts Superior Court decision that appears to favor property owners on the unlimited-access-to-buildings issue is boiling up again as BOMA and ALTS gear up for a new round of litigation.
